Our story

Contec S.A. specializes in end-of-life tire processing through chemical recycling, transforming discarded tires into circular, sustainable raw materials.

At Contec, sustainability is one of our core values.

We believe that circular economy manufacturing in the tire industry is possible, and we’re actively supporting the industry to evolve toward a “tire-to-tire” model.

As the technology developers, we continuously strive to improve technical efficiency and find new opportunities to further increase our positive environmental impact.

So far, over 1,500,000 tires have been processed by our plant – and counting.

Contec has a nominal processing capacity of 32,000 tons of end-of-life tires per year.

Secured €15 million in funding

Contec has successfully secured a total of EUR 15 million in funding. The investment will be used to triple the capacity of Contec’s current facility in Szczecin, Poland, and to position the company for the construction of several new commercial plants across Europe.

Upgraded Szczecin plant operating at full capacity

The upgraded Szczecin plant is already operating at full capacity, marking a significant milestone in Contec’s growth and enabling the company to meet the increasing demand for sustainable solutions. With a nominal processing capacity of 32,000 tons of end-of-life tires per year, the plant plays a key role in supporting the circular economy. This expansion will drive the company’s ability to scale its innovative technology and strengthen its position in the European market.
